When try to make any changes on the Settings page I get a Fatal Error. This happens even if I don’t change anything, and simply hit ‘Submit.’ Any clue?
Fatal error: Call to undefined function filter_var() in /var/www/vhosts/site.com/httpdocs/system/expressionengine/third_party/backup_proish/models/backup_proish_settings_model.php on line 111

Oh wow! I just verified things and you’re right! There was a bad conditional going on. It was a quick fix but I’d like you to verify it’s good so you don’t have to worry about this anymore.
If you can send me an email to the below address (so I can have your email addy) I’ll send you an updated version for you to review to make sure your issue is fixed.
I’m really sorry for the back and forth sir.
