Cannot get to work

I am running automatee on an MSM site, but as all the plugins i need to run are controlled by the main site i didnt see a problem in using automatee to solve my cron requirements.

I have currently 2 plugins i need to run via a cron job.

I can successfully run these plugins via a template and opening the url in a browser.

I have tried both the URL and plugin feature within automatee, i am running by the proper cron job format, and while it says it has run the plugins 11 times over the last 11 days the effect of running the plugin has not happened.

Any advice would be appreciated as automatee should be just what i need!

Thanks

James

Hi James,

Sorry for the delay getting to this; it came in the middle of the night :/

Would it be possible to take a look at things myself? I’ve never had any report this issue so I’m not really sure what could be going on. Seeing, and debugging, personally is really the best option but I’ll need FTP and CP access to get started.

If not, can you do skype?

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks for getting back to me Eric, looks like we may be in different time zones!

Since going back to setting the tasks to run plugins and not the URL it seems to have started working im very pleased to say. Should i have expected http://domainname/templatename to have worked (using htaccess to lose index.php)?

Either way using the plugin call was my desired method as much more secure, i can now lose the templates that triggered the process.

I guess you need to align the actual server cron to run as often as the most frequent automatee system cron set up…

Looks like this product is perfect, time to check out backup pro me thinks!

Cheers
