Snippet Sync lets you manage all your snippets on the file system just like a normal template. Now you can manage and edit your snippets just like you do a template file.
snippets/
-- default_site/
---- global/
------ header.html
---- products/
------ detail.html
------ list.html
This is a developer license, meaning you are free to use Snippet Sync on an unlimited number of commercial, personal, or non-profit sites until the end of time. You can get a single site license too.
When a new snippet is created it will automatically create or update it in the database the next time an EE page is loaded (either front-end or control panel page). Options include the ability to define a prefix for use in the template, for example {snippet:my_snippet_file}. The corresponding file for this snippet would be my_snippet_file.html.
There are several $config variable overrides to tweak how Snippet Sync finds and creates snippet variable names. See the documentation for the full list with examples.
Snippet Sync is a joint development effort from myself and Isaac Raway, aka @airways

Hooks Used
If the add-on is an extension, and ties into ExpressionEngine's core files, it will use ExpressionEngine hooks. We are listing any hooks the add-on uses for developers to have an easier time locating other add-ons that they can reference for their own work.

Works as advertised, flawlessly performing a function that is bafflingly missing from EE.The developer license is perfect, something I wish more add-ons would adopt.
