QuickSave modifies EE2's standard entry saving behavior, returning you to the edit entry page instead of displaying the preview page. The extension also lets you add a 'Publish and Close' button and/or a 'Publish and Preview' button alongside the standard entry submit button. Structure users can choose to return to the Structure homepage when 'Save and Close' buttons are used.

Update 21 Dec ‘10
I’ve just released an update which takes advantage of EE 2.1.2’s new cp_js_end hook. The hacky CodeIgniter hook is no longer necessary. To respond to Nevsie’s point regarding required fields, errors are being shown as I would expect with the latest copy of the addon. If anyone is running into problems please contact me via VayaDesign.net - I won’t necessarily notice reviews/forum posts on Devotee.

Hooks Used

If the add-on is an extension, and ties into ExpressionEngine's core files, it will use ExpressionEngine hooks. We are listing any hooks the add-on uses for developers to have an easier time locating other add-ons that they can reference for their own work.

  1. entry_submission_redirect
  2. cp_js_end

Works really well and am happy. But required fields errors seem to get missed.

If you are using EE2 and miss Publish Tweeks for EE1 then you’ll probably be pretty happy about this extension. Does just what it says and is a time saver.
