Adds a prefix to the beginning of a string, but only if it is missing.
This simple plugin can be used to prepend text with anything you like - but, it is useful in outputting a URI field where a user did not provide a scheme(eg “http://”) at the beginning. Simply put, this plugin checks for something at the beginning of a string and adds it if it is missing.
Default usage:
{exp:preefix}www.google.com{/exp:preefix}
Result: http://www.google.com
Alternate prefix specified:
{exp:preefix prefix=“https://”}www.google.com{/exp:preefix}
Result: https://www.google.com
