News bar is powerful extension for creating news bar ticker from channels entries automatically.and with simple plugin to display the news bar.
This extension add entries titles to news bar ticker and it’s plugin used to display this news bar ticker in your templates.
1-Create multiple news bar.
2-Edit the settings of any news bar.
3-Associate one or more channels to news bar.
4-Control which entry to be added to news bar.
How to use:
Create news bar
-Go to add-ons->extension->news bar and click setting, then click “Create News bar”.
-Enter the news bar name (must be unique for site).
-Select the channels that you want to be the source of news bar entries.
-Enter the url address that you want to be associated with entries when the visitor click the entry.(you can use the keywords “entry_id”,“url_title” to be replaced with its values).
-Enter the maximum number of entries the news bar can contain.(when the maximum number is reached the news bar will remove the oldest added entry).
-After you submit you will go to the adding rules form.you can add a rule for every channel associated with this news bar.
-The rule has three values.
List of channel fields.
The value of key field that make the entry to be added (case insensitive).you can use multiple values separated by ‘,’ like “text1,text2”.
Determine if key value must match key field value or just part of it.
1-When entry deleted from channel it will be deleted automatically from news bar.
2–When entry status switched to closed it will be deleted automatically from news bar.
If you don’t set a channel rule all channel entries can be added to news bar.
If you edit channel entry it will modify all news bar associated with this channel.
News bar plugin:
Provide EE tag to display any of your saved news bar in your templates. see plugin usage in your add-ons->plugin.
