Amplify the power of ExpressionEngine’s next/previous entries. Now free!

Sometimes a site needs more access to next and previous entries than ExpressionEngine’s built-in next/previous tags provide.

So near, yet so far, now near again

With the Nearby Entries plugin, you can select, order, refilter and display not just one but any number of next and previous links.

Select them by a parameter such as entry_date, edit_date or expiration_date or even alphabetically by title.

Then order them by a different parameter, so that you can, for example, select the previous 10 entries from the current one, but display them alphabetically by title rather than chronologically.

Filter them using standard channel:entries parameters such as status, category and author (though not custom fields).

And display their custom fields.

For more information, see the docs.

Watch the small print on this one - the EE2 version can’t handle categories (which unfortunately is the main reason I bought it) - so although the page seems to say it does accept parameters like categories, in reality this isn’t true unless you’re using it on an EE1 site.

Wonderful little add-on. And also great support by Adam Kahn.
