The REEOrder module allows you to easily reorder your entries. The module uses EE's ability to order Weblog Entries by a Custom Field, it does not add any queries or other additional processing to your templates.
If you like you can install the additional “REEOrder” Extension, this will remove the Custom Field from the Entry Form. (so your client won’t accidentally mess with it).
There is a forked version at GitHub that works as a “Gypsy”:http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/extensions/gypsy/ field. See the link below.

Hooks Used
If the add-on is an extension, and ties into ExpressionEngine's core files, it will use ExpressionEngine hooks. We are listing any hooks the add-on uses for developers to have an easier time locating other add-ons that they can reference for their own work.

I used this with my second client and it really helped with his satisfaction with the site.

I fixed a JS error that occurred in the rare occasion you didn’t have any custom fields on the publish screen. Also, I added the ability for this to work with Brandon Kelly’s Gypsy. This way, you can create 1 gypsy field and use that for your reeorder field for all your weblogs. Symbiosis!

This is great for those fickle clients who need entries in some specific order (or who just like to shuffel things around!).
Easy to use even by non-tech users.
