LogMeIn allows you to automatically log a site visitor in from any template without having to collect details from them. This is great for stand-alone entry forms and many other applications.
A single template tag can automatically log a user in:
{exp:logmein:now username="priveleged_guest"}
And similarly log a user out:
{exp:logmein:logout}

Fantastic plugin - works perfectly. I’m using it for a booking system where the client doesn’t want his customers to have to register to make a booking (via an SAEF). The support from Ben is first-rate - he turned around an update to work with EE 2.5 extremely quickly. Recommended!

LogMeIn works beautifully when you want to allow site visitors to post to your system without having to go through a lengthy registration process. I used it for a bug tracking system whereby anyone could quickly and easily send us a notification of a bug with a simple SAEF form. Highly recommended!
