I agree with Travis – hopefully we will see this built into EE2. I use this on a lot of sites but there still remains a small occasional issue with some php curl errors that is outstanding but does not prevent updates being shown and may be only subject to those of us on php4. A must install!

There are certain extensions that are so simple and useful, you think — why the heck doesn’t EE do this?  This is one of those — a must for developers.
