Field General lets you assign multiple field groups to any weblog/channel. This lets you reuse and share sets of fields, rather than having to duplicate them for each channel.
You can share fields between MSM sites and control the order of fields per weblog.

Hooks Used
If the add-on is an extension, and ties into ExpressionEngine's core files, it will use ExpressionEngine hooks. We are listing any hooks the add-on uses for developers to have an easier time locating other add-ons that they can reference for their own work.

I love this add-on. I was wondering if there are any plans to upgrade it for EE 2?

Wow, I’d thought of developing something like this but never got started on it. Tim Kelty, you are my new EE hero. This is something I’ve wanted for at least two years. Grand and vital. Thank you.
