Entry API is a module that creates a REST/XMLRPC/SOAP server under the hood of the ExpressionEngine CMS. With this module you are capable to CRUD entries and categories with a REST, SOAP or XMLRPC call. It support the default fields as well custom fields. So you can for example insert entries from within another application like an Iphone app or another web app.

4. Error and/or usage Logging (Provided by Omnilog).

6. There will be come more options in the future.

Installation

1. Install the module via the add-ons section.
2. Go the Entry API module and start creating new services.
3. When you are done creating channels you can start using the services.

V2.x is not compatible with V1.x

As for version 2.x the module change his way of creating services. In V1.x we create a service on top of a channel, in V2.x we create services on top of a member. Because of that there is not a way to use the update mechanism of EE to update the entry_api to V2.x.
You are losing all saved data for the channels, so you have to create the services again after the install.

Update steps:

1. De-install the old version.
2. Remove the old files.
3. Copy the new files.
4. Install the module.
