If you want to add a weak, inflexible discussion forum to your EE site then this is the way to go! Unfortunately, this is the ONLY integrated solution available. So, if a discussion forum is important to your site then you might want to rethink using EE at all…

This plugin does work, but is very behind the times. Basic bells & whistles you’d expect aren’t present. Styling isn’t easy. Looks like only bug fixes have been made since 2010. I hope EE decides to pick this one back up for a revamp.

It’s just average – there is a lot that can be done to make the Forum module spectacular…here’s hoping that it gets the treatment it deserves in EE 2.0.

Brilliant if you need to integrate a community forum into a site but a real pain to skin. Site membership and forum membership are integrated which is very good. Not as feature rich as other forum systems.
