Deeploy Helper is a module that collects many of the configuration parameters we most frequently modify on one page, where power users can modify them all at once with search and replace. Great for migrating from a test server to a live environment.

We had an EE site developed by an outside agency and needed to move it…Deeploy Helper made it SO painless to fix all those pesky hidden paths and server names buried in the old code. Seriously, a very small investment here saved us HOURS of bug fixing. A perfect plug-in for migration, bar none!

5 stars isn’t enough. This is a great add-on - we just moved a 3 site MSM from test to live and this saved me plenty of hair.

Great tool for moving your website.
Before the quick replace, I would open in opera, do view source, copy the source to a texteditor, do a find and replace all, for file paths, and URLs, paste the source back into opera, hit the apply button, then hit submit.

II it is possible to make this a little more pricey so as to make it more robust so users could manage add-on settings paths, it would be a big bonus.

Couldn’t make moving servers simpler. 2 find and replaces and you are usually good to go.

Nicely done, but I prefer to handle most of what this module does right in my config.php. If I use PHP superglobals, I rarely have to change the paths even when moving environments. The module does group things you can’t set in config.php, like upload paths and forum paths, which is certainly nice.
