The Channel Variables Extension allow you to run Snippets, Global Variables and user defined Global Variables from within channel entries.
Ever wanted to have the ability to have Snippets, Global Variables and even user defined Global variables in a Channel Entry field? Well now you can!
Channel Variables allows you to have all the normal functionality of templates inside your Channel entry fields. This is especially useful if you want, say a certain header based on a Global Variable. For example:
{if ‘{gv_some_var}’ != ‘’ }
Display gv_some_var channel field content
{if: else}
display default channel field content
{/if}
This is handy if you need to show certain information based on site url or if you have custom global variables defined in your index php based on certain criteria.
This Extension passes all snippets as well.
