At last, managing your files is just as powerful and elegant as managing the rest of your content in ExpressionEngine.
Do your photos justice
Assets lets you view your photos in big, gorgeous thumbnails sized to 230 x 153px. Theyre even displayed in 2X resolution if youre viewing them with a hi-res display.
EE, meet the cloud
Assets lets you define new asset sources located on Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud Files, and Google Cloud Storage. Theyll show up right alongside your EE upload directories.
You can drag files and folders around between your remote sources and your EE upload directories just like you can on your Mac or PC.
Fields where you want them
You can create Assets fields for your entries, your Matrix fields, and even Low Variables. Assets lets you choose which sources you want your files to come from, how you want them displayed, and even whether multiple files can be selected.
Resolve conflicts with ease
When you upload a file with the same name as another, or perform any other action that would result in a similar naming conflict, Assets lets you choose what to do.
Give your files a name
Double-click on any file to edit its metadata, including Title, Date, Caption, Author, and more.

A must-use on any project that relies on clients uploading images.
totalserve 04.21.13
The good? Assets is great for managing a small amount of files from the control panel.
The bad? 2.1 is slow, incredibly resource intensive server-side (making hundreds of simultaneous POST attempts) and is not user-friendly for SAEF/Safecracker use.
Assets is helpful, just not $99 helpful.
Lars Bilke 04.10.13
The new feature in 2.1 to output a whole folder and file tree is absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended!
Derek Hogue 03.11.13
There is no competition here. Assets is the best, most-beautiful file manager for EE. If your site requires more than a handful of file uploads on an ongoing basis, this is well-worth the cost of admission.
JCDerrick 02.26.12
I really like where Assets in going and I look forward to seeing how much more this gets developed. It makes handling large quantities of files a breeze and should have been part of the native file manager in EE. Another great add-on by Brandon.
Sambo 09.28.11
Brillant add-on, a must for any EE site install. I initially had problems with this add-on but was up and running real quick with the awesome support I received from P&T, thanks Brandon my clients love the new add-on btw.
BA Creative 07.27.11
Asset management as it should be. Beautifully designed and top-notch support!
Simon Cox 07.13.11
Awesome version 1 release. Once you install this you will wonder how you ever lived without it. If only the rest of EE was built this way.
stevenmilne 06.30.11
Plugs another weakness in EE – making client training that bit simpler again. Version 3 will be amazing ;)
lehrerfreund 06.30.11
Fantastic!! Ultra-usable, snappy feeling, nice appearance.
rougeExciter 06.29.11
Assets shows enormous promise, and really demonstrates where EE 2.2 file management should have gone. The functionality is excellent, usability is fantastic. MSM users who have the sites associated with different domains should proceed with caution with v1, there issues if you use a single CP.
